Exploration through academia.
While teaching at the Art Institute, I lead a class which asked students to develop a device for sitting. The only requirements be that its flat-packable and constructed from reclaimed cardboard and new or used fabrics.
From Conception to Reality

We are always looking for oportunity to reduce waste, experiment with new processes, and explore new applications of material and design. The texture of these lamp shades are derived from the remnant of cutting plastic on a CNC router.
